Officer elections! We had elections tonight. Your new officers for the 2008-2009 school year are:
President - Jack Bugbee
Vice-President and Webmaster- Jordan Reese
Treasurer - Christian Gugas
Event Coordinator and Fundraiser - Liz Olson
Server Admin - Justin Rocha
Also, the final meeting of the semester will be an off-campus pizza meeting. It will be held at Woodstocks next week, Wednesday May 14th @ 5:30pm.

The first CSLUG of the semester will be held on Wednesday, Feb 6th @ 5:30PM in room 246. The first Installfest will be on Saturday Feb 9th @ 12:00PM in room 254.

Remember, CSLUG is meeting at Woodstock's Pizza tonight, and there will be a short presentation on installing Linux on the Linksys/Cisco WRT54G internet router.

The server is back up and running after a kind hardware donation from Dan Hirsmuller-Counts and the hard work of James Switzer and Justin Rocha. Yay!

Our installfest on Saturday wasn't quite the success we were hoping for, but it was still successful-- several installs and upgrades were handled quite deftly!
Also, it seems that the majority vote on the Jaguar issue is in the positive. Now that we've collected some information on the assorted mad skillz of the CSLUG members, we can put a good foot forward.

The installfest date has been announced! We're going to be holding it on November 3 October 27th, at 10:00 AM. The room number has not been decided upon, but we'll let you folks know when we know. We will be holding the installfest in the lobby of OCNL.
Also, next week, October 17, is our monthly unofficial meeting at Woodstock's Pizza at 5:00 PM. Remember, bring your own cash to this one.

Big things coming our way! First is the announcement of another installfest, planned to take place within a month or two. Excitement! Exuberance! Other big words!
And even bigger is our second announcement. So big, it would make Godzilla run in fear. So big, not even Samuel L. Jackson can possibly hope to stand against it. What is it? Can't say yet. But it has to do with a large cat.

Our meeting time has changed from 5:00 to 5:15, so be sure to update your schedules!
Movie Night is October 3, same room, same time. We will be watching Pirates of the Silicon Valley, and will have pizza available (cheese, veggie, and combo) for $1 per slice. We'll also have non-caffeinated root beer for $0.50 for a can. Help support CSLUG! Eat pizza! Drink soda! Sweet deal!
The Scavenger Hunt has also begun. Get to it! Win a prize!

We now have a new meeting room! Next week and thereafter, we will be meeting in OCNL 239 instead of 244.

NOTICE! Instead of our usual Wednesday meeting next week, we will be holding an informal get-together downtown at Woodstock's Pizza, on 2nd Street, at 5:00 PM on the 19'th. However, if you want pizza, you're going to want to bring your own cash.

The Constitution has now been ratified and instituted by a majority vote. We have also appointed a new Event Coordinator and Fundraiser, Kenny Spade.

Weekly meetings will take place every Wednesday from 5:15-6:15 PM in OCNL 239.

For a quick intro, installfests are where we (CSLUG) help you to install linux on your computer. For more information checkout installfest_whatis. We generaly hold about two per semester, on Saturdays from noon until 6:00. If you want to come to an Installfest and have us help you install linux as a dual boot on a box with windows, check out the dual-boot_checklist.
